Pruning
Once your peony has flowered you may wish to dead-head the blooms. Dead-heading your peony is not essential but it will keep the plant looking tidy and encourage further root growth.

Do not cut back the foliage – even if it is dead looking – until the Autumn because your peony is still growing. Cutting back of herbaceous peonies is easy: simply cut everything back to about 2cm above the ground. Cutting your peony back will assist with good hygiene and help mitigate against any disease the following year.

Tree peonies respond well to pruning. Prune in the Autumn and either take back the top growth by about 1/3 in stages or, if you have a multi-stemmed tree peony, cut back every 3rd stem to about 2cm removing the oldest stems first.

Products marked as available on Back-Order are products that are in production and not ready for release yet. Products available on back-order are usually dispatched between April and June (unless otherwise stated and subject to growing season weather, our plants are grown sustainably and so rely on natural weather patterns and seasons to grow). Items are dispatched on a 24hr service, you will receive a shipping notification 24hrs prior to order arrival. If your order contains both in-stock and back-order products we will dispatch your order when all of the products are ready; if you would like to have the in-stock products delivered prior to the back-order products an additional delivery charge (£7.95) will apply and your order will be split and dispatched accordingly. Either place two separate orders on our website or contact us via email and we will assist you. Items that are on back-order in May or June will be delivered the following year in April to June (unless otherwise stated and subject to growing season weather and conditions).
